The Energy We Carry… and What We Attract

There’s a concept that appears in many different forms — across science, psychology, and spiritual traditions.

That life doesn’t simply respond to our thoughts or desires…
It responds to the state we are in.

Not just what we say we want, but what we are quietly holding within us.

Awareness Before Change

Many of us move through life carrying layers of stress, old patterns, or emotional residue without fully realising it.

We might be:

  • holding tension in the body

  • replaying familiar thoughts

  • or moving through the day in a subtle state of overwhelm

And from that place, we often find ourselves experiencing more of the same.

Not because we’re doing anything wrong —
but because our internal state is shaping how we meet the world.

The Body Holds the Story

One of the most important things to understand is that this “state” isn’t just mental — it’s physical and energetic as well.

The body holds onto:

  • stress

  • emotional experiences

  • and patterns that may have built up over time

This is where gentle, supportive therapies can be incredibly helpful.

Through Kinesiology, we can identify and release underlying stress patterns held in the body, often bringing awareness to things we didn’t consciously realise were there.

Through Reiki, the nervous system is supported to deeply relax and reset, allowing the body to return to a more balanced and restorative state.

When the body shifts… the state shifts.
And from there, our experience of life can begin to change.

It’s Not About “Thinking Positive”

This is where the idea can sometimes be misunderstood.

Shifting your “frequency” isn’t about forcing yourself to feel happy or positive all the time.
In fact, that can create more pressure.

Instead, it begins with something much simpler:

👉 Awareness

Becoming aware of:

  • how you’re feeling

  • what you’re carrying

  • and what your body is holding onto

From there, change becomes possible — gently, naturally, and without force.

A Gentle Shift

Even small shifts in your internal state can create meaningful changes in your experience.

This might look like:

  • taking a moment to pause and breathe

  • allowing an emotion to move instead of suppressing it

  • choosing softness instead of tension

  • reconnecting with something that brings a sense of calm or warmth

Or it might involve receiving support — allowing someone to help you access and release what’s been held for a long time.

Like Tuning a Radio

A helpful way to think of it is like tuning a radio.

When you’re tuned into a certain frequency, that’s what you hear.

As you adjust the dial — even slightly — a different signal comes through.

In the same way, as your internal state shifts, your experience of life can begin to shift with it.

A More Compassionate Way Forward

Rather than trying to control everything around us, we can begin by gently tending to what’s within.

Not with judgment.
Not with pressure.
But with curiosity and care.

Because when we change the way we feel and respond,
we often find that life meets us differently.

A Gentle Invitation

If this resonates, you might like to take a moment today to simply notice:

👉 What state am I in right now?
👉 And what would feel supportive for me in this moment?

And if you feel you’d like support in shifting that state,
modalities like Kinesiology and Reiki can offer a gentle, supportive pathway back to balance.

Sometimes, the smallest shift is the one that begins everything.
